We should’ve been hung up

Dear friends and bloggers,

Here is a post I thought was really important…at least to me and hopefully to you as well.

I’m going to talk about things that I’ve heard at a show done at my school a while ago.

Let me ask all of you these questions: who here has told a lie before? Yes, do answer this. So if you lie, what does that make you? A liar, precisely. Who here has stolen something/taken something without permission before, even from his/her younger siblings? Again, answer this question. So if you steal, what does that make you? A thief, exactly. Have you ever been so mad at someone that you just wanted to punch him/her in the face? So if you have, what does that make you? A violent person.

Look at us. We just admitted that we are liars, thieves, and violent people. We are sinners. However, did we get punished for all of this? No. Not quite, at least.

The only person who has faced cruel punishment without doing anything, was Jesus Christ. He was perfect, generous, and honest. Yet, He was hung on that cross and paid the price of our sins. The only Man who stronly believed that the world will live in peace, with love and truth was hung on a crucifix, when it was Us who were supposed to be up there. He was tortured, and we just watched.

My friends, it should have been us. We should have been hung up. But Jesus loved us, and forgave us, so He got crucified for us. If that is not amazing, I don’t know what is.

Remember, He died out of His love for you.

So all I’m telling you is, take at least 10 minutes every night to thank Him for all you have, all you were Given and His endless love for you.
